Management Team

Sonic Boom possesses a well seasoned management team with a deep understanding of the mobile entertainment market and experience from the music industry and Internet world. The top management has also delivered profitable growth since its inception and has self-funded its entire ascent.

David Danon, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Danon is an entrepreneur and an expert in the wireless and internet entertainment markets, as well as a creator of innovative and successful entertainment formats. He has a deep interest in all emerging technologies and the cultural developments around the Internet and Mobile revolutions. Mr. Danon is also an accomplished self-taught musician and songwriter who plays several instruments. Mr. Danon entered Brown University (BA97) at the age of 16. After graduation, he embarked on a global journey and solidified his belief that music is the mother tongue of all people and a common bond we all share. His belief in music interactivity as a bedrock of new media entertainment, coupled with his understanding of the forces shaping the emerging global technology markets, has enabled him to identify unexploited opportunities in these markets and led him to conceive and develop mH2O.com and Sonic Branding Solutions. Mr. Danon is fluent in English, French, Spanish and conversational Hebrew. Prior to founding Sonic Boom, David was a private equity consultant in emerging technologies with a special focus in multimedia, network infrastructure and semiconductor capital equipment. Mr. Danon has single handedly helped create the interactive music-making space in mobile over the last seven years and has been a leading visionary in the convergence of user-generated media creation with the Web and mobile. Mr. Danon is currently incubating several new companies to help deliver on his vision of our inter-connected future.

Josh Grant, Chief Operating Officer

Josh takes the reins in driving Sonic Boom's profitability and growth while overseeing the daily operations of the business, including publishing, product management, product development and post-production.

Most recently, he was the Vice President of Content Strategy and Acquisition at Vivendi Games Mobile where he managed publishing and editorial content, licensing, and strategic planning for the division. Prior to that role, Josh was the VP of Corporate Development at Vivendi Games where he co-led M&A activities and strategic planning for the company's startup businesses - Sierra Online and Vivendi Games Mobile. Previously Josh was a Senior Associate at Argo Global Capital, a VC firm focused on wireless communications and applications. He was also an Associate at Rustic Canyon Partners, specializing in new media investments. Josh began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in Global Industries, where he provided transaction advisory services to clients like Tenet Healthcare, Hughes Electronics, Times Mirror Company and Kaufman & Broad. Josh received his undergraduate degree in Economics at Claremont McKenna College.

Lou Fasulo, Member, Board of Advisors

Lou oversees the publishing functions for Sonic Boom, including marketing, sales and business development.

Previously, Lou was the Vice President of Distribution at Vivendi Games Mobile where he lead sales and partner management to achieve the #6 sales ranking in North America. He secured distribution for the company's mobile products on over 30 channels in the US, Canada, and Latin America. Lou helped launched the award-winning Surviving High SchoolTM game - the first original IP on mobile that consistently ranked among the top selling titles in North America for two consecutive years. Prior to Vivendi, Lou held management positions at AT&T Mobility (formerly Cingular Wireless), and oversaw content acquisition and product management of games and applications. Early in his career, Lou was a product manager at Earthlink. He also co-founded GroovePort, a company that launched one of the first digital music subscription services with content from over 70 labels. Lou received his Masters Degree in Engineering from Clarkson University.

Leonard C. Quam, Vice President, Product Development

Leonard manages product development and content production for Sonic. A 20+ year game industry veteran, he has designed or produced over 50 games played by millions of people in diverse media, from print, to online, to PC, and mobile phones. He was previously Director of Games for Zingy and CTO and co-founder of U.S. mobile games pioneer Unplugged Games. Other stops have included West End Games, Victory Games, Crossover Technologies, Enter-Act, and Firaxis Games. Len was an early proponent of agile development processes and technologies in the game industry, first applying them at Unplugged Games in 2000 and is amused that the rest of the games industry is just now coming around to agile. When he's not slaving away at Sonic's offices, Len is mostly likely cooking and enjoying good wine with his wife, playing FPS or RTS games (when she's out of town), and perhaps tying a fly or two.

Chris Koncur, Vice President, Technology

As V.P. of Technology, Chris directs systems & network engineering and server programming. With over 15 years of IT experience Chris has served in nearly every facet of technology spanning programming, architecture and administration. While still a student and employee of Widener University he helped design their fully switched 8,000 user ATM (Asynchronus Transfer Mode) network; the fastest collegiate WAN/LAN at the time. Post Widener he served as Assoc. Director of the Global Availability Center (SAC/NOC) at Bristol Myers Squibb where he managed 40+ administrators, engineers and analysts ensuring system and network integrity in 26 countries across 6 continents. Later moving on to direct System and Network Security for Bristol Myers Squibb with emphasis on HIPAA CFR 11 Part 21 compliance. Prior to coming onboard at SonicBoom Chris owned and operated an IT & Web consultancy of 5 years. When not working Chris enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children, playing a video game or two and keeping tabs on emerging technologies.

William F. DesLauriers, Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Bill joined Sonic in late 2006 to help the company position itself for exponential growth. "Coming from such diverse working environments as Internet start-up IntraLinks where he was general counsel, the world’s first online service, Prodigy, where he was assistant general counsel, and Apartment Search, a division of Times Mirror focused on rental real estate where he was general counsel, Bill has been practicing law in the technology and corporate areas since the 80's."

Hailing from Minnesota where he earned his Bachelors and Law degrees, Bill does not know Garrison Keillor, does not eat Lutefisk or Lefse, has never been to Fargo but somehow still cannot pronounce the words "goat", "boat" or "coat" in a way so as not to invite ridicule.
