**Update: Sonic Boom submitted Kill All Bugs to Apple (6/19). Oh, the anticipation!

I really hate bugs. Indiana Jones hated rats and snakes, but he had a bullwhip to put those critters at bay. I have a fly swatter and a rusty can of bug spray underneath my kitchen sink.

Well, even if you don't hate bugs, you'll find it extremely hard to pass up a truly remarkable iPhone/iPod Touch game coming out called Kill All Bugs. Published by Sonic Boom and developed by Bight Games, Kill All Bugs helps us bug haters conquer our fear.

Kill All Bugs is a tower defense/RTS hybrid game that pays homage to B-movies, and promises real insect AI. Players are dropped into a frenzied battle to save humanity from mutant bugs. Construct a gauntlet to keep insects at bay, with access to a slew of heavy weapons, high tech defenses and air strikes. Kill All Bugs will be available [soon] for $3.99 in the App Store.

What critics have to say:

"Kill All Bugs! is one of the platform's most promising releases. Fans of tower defense should keep an eye on this one." - GameZone

"Kill All Bugs is a tower defense game with a great 50s monster movie feel. This TD game [is] more complex in the strategy." - 148Apps

"The game takes considerably more attention from the player than other Tower Defense games we've seen." - SlidetoPlay

"A tower defense-style strategy with purposeful GBA graphics." - IGN Wireless

"Smart tower defense game Kill All Bugs." - PocketGamer

Oh, and check out these cool trailers!

"An iPhone puzzler with a couple of unique aspects.  1) Play as a cute character that you can design and customize to yout heart’s content.  2) Puzzlings features an overworld, which is a first we’ve seen in a puzzle game." - AppSmile

"The hook is in the game's vastly customizable characters (called Puzzlings), which look a bit like the sack people from Little Big Planet."  -SlidetoPlay
